Dark Passage Films Releases Usher Morgan’s Debut Feature Pickings for Free Streaming on Official Website

Dark Passage Films has announced that Pickings, the critically acclaimed debut feature film from writer-director Usher Morgan, is now available to stream for free on the company’s newly-launched website.
Originally released in 2018, Pickings made waves in the independent film circuit for its bold fusion of neo-noir style, pulp storytelling, and dark humor. The film follows a fierce, whiskey-swilling bar owner whose criminal past catches up to her when she and her daughters are targeted by a local mob boss—leading to an explosive showdown that blends grit, style, and swagger.
Elyse Price delivers a breakout performance as Jo Lee-Haywood, leading a cast that includes Katie Vincent, Joel Bernard, Michelle Holland, Yaron Urbas, Emil Ferzola, and Taso Mikroulis. The film features cinematography by Louis Obioha and a score that fuses Ennio Morricone-inspired Western themes with a modern crime-thriller edge.
“Pickings was a true labor of love,” said Usher Morgan. “We made this film on our own terms, and now we want to make it accessible to everyone—no paywalls, no subscriptions, just a click away.”
The free release comes as Dark Passage Films expands its digital presence, offering fans direct access to the company’s growing library of original films. The move also coincides with the upcoming festival run of Morgan and Vincent’s new period thriller, Plucked, and Morgan's upcoming feature film, Anna's in the Woods.
Pickings is streaming now at www.DarkPassageFilms.com.
